At Health Lab Physical Therapy and Fitness, we believe that helping patients achieve their goals requires addressing the Pillars of Health.
Exercise, Sleep, and Nutrition are the foundation for a happy, healthy, pain-free life. These Pillars are present in our logo, and shape our treatment approach. We pair this mindset with modern physical therapy treatments including progressive exercise, loading, dry needling, manual therapy, and education.
Kailey specializes in treatment of orthopedic injuries in an active population. She applies a modern approach to physical therapy focusing on loading, manual therapy techniques and dry needling to treat high school and collegiate athletes, gym-goers, CrossFit athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. Kailey is determined to inspire those who do not exercise regularly to find a method they enjoy to improve their health and wellness.
She is trained in pelvic floor assessment and treatment of pregnant and postpartum women. She enjoys walking alongside them by modifying exercises, facilitating movement and encouraging a safe, early return to postpartum activity.
Kailey played competitive soccer, completing her soccer career as a center midfielder for Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore where she studied biology and psychology. Outside of the clinic, Kailey enjoys spending time with her husband and workout partner, Luke. She enjoys CrossFit, hiking, skiing, fresh flowers, farmers markets, dogs, traveling and sunshine!
Luke is passionate about helping people find a way to incorporate healthier habits into their daily routine. He utilizes a modern and scientific approach to physical therapy that combines the principles of tissue healing, strength training, manual therapy, dry needling, joint mobilization/manipulation, and education, to create a plan to efficiently achieve your goals. You can ask him about sleep, nutrition, weight loss, stress management, or beginning or returning to exercise, if these are important or interesting to you.
Luke has trained extensively to provide exceptional care for CrossFit athletes, runners, older adults, and those with a musculoskeletal injury. One of his greatest strengths is helping those who don't currently have an exercise routine find comfort and enjoyment in movement.
Graduating from Creighton University with a BS in Emergency Medical Services in 2015, Luke worked as a paramedic for a year while applying to physical therapy school. He enjoys CrossFit and running with Kailey to stay prepared for skiing, hiking, frisbee golfing, backpacking, and regular daily activities.
Luke and Kailey completed their Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Go Jays! Both began doing traveling physical therapy after graduation. In addition to travel contracts in New Mexico, Idaho, Arizona, Nebraska, Maryland, Virginia, Alaska, and Montana, they spent time treating patients in the Dominican Republic. Both have continued their professional training through the Institute of Clinical Excellence to better serve their active patient population and #BeAboutIt.
